Changing of Imperative sentences


Imperative Sentences;
Definition; an imperative sentences show any request, suggestion, order or an advice.
Note; if we want to change the imperative sentences from direct speech into indirect speech then we will act upon the following Rules.
Rules of Imperative sentences:
1: the reported verb change into full infinitive.
2: if there is order in sentence, the reporting verb change into “ordered”.
3; if there is a request in sentence, the reporting verb will change into “requested”.
4; if there is an advice in sentence, the reporting verb will change into “advised”.
5: if there is “never” in sentence, the reporting verb change into “forbade, advice, told”.
6: if there is direction in sentence, the reporting verb will change into “directed”.
7: if there is any warning is sentence, the reporting verb will change into “warned”
8: if there is any threat in sentence, the reporting verb change into “threatened”?
For example;
The teacher said to us,” Work hard”. (Direct Speech)
The teacher advised us to work hard. (Indirect Speech)
The master said to the servant,” Go away at once”. (Direct Speech)
The master ordered the servant to go away at once. (Indirect Speech)
His father said to me,” Do not go for picnic”. (Direct Speech)
His father forbade me not to go for picnic. (Indirect Speech)
They said to us,” Do not teach here slowly”. (Direct Speech)
They directed us not to teach there slowly. (Indirect Speech)
I said to him, “try again and again doing this task”. (Direct Speech)

I told him to try again and again doing that task. (Indirect Speech)
